What is Direct Pay?

Instead of working with insurance companies, we’ve chosen to serve our patients directly. This enables us to dedicate our time and resources to the patient experience. You will pay out-of-pocket for all cosmetic and medical dermatologic visits at ICON.

What are the advantages of Direct Pay?

• No waiting: You will be able to get an appointment to see a Dermatologist at ICON much sooner than you would at a dermatology office that does not follow a direct pay model.

• No surprises: You will not receive any bills from ICON after you leave the office. This is a welcome change from what you have come to expect from your insurance company.

• Best of both worlds: You can still use your insurance company to pay for things like prescriptions and lab tests. ICON can provide you with the information you need to submit medical dermatology claims to your insurance company, as needed.

Please note, since ICON is not contracted with any insurance companies, we are considered ‘out-of-network’ on all insurance plans. It is the patient’s responsibility to confirm reimbursement for out-of-network expenses.

When is my payment due?

Payment is due at check-out. We accept the following forms of payment:

• Cash

• Check

• Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)

• Health Savings Account

• Flexible Spending Account
