BOTOX Cosmetic was the first FDA-approved neuromodulator. It reduces underlying muscle activity that causes moderate-to-severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines, creating a visibly smoother appearance. Patients typically begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours, with results lasting up to four months for moderate to severe frown lines.

Dysport treats moderate-to-severe frown lines between the eyebrows by reducing muscle activity in the glabellar area. Patients typically notice results within two to three days, with results lasting up to five months.

Xeomin treats moderate-to-severe frown lines between the eyebrows by temporarily preventing the muscle fibers in this area from contracting. Patients typically notice smoothing results as early as three to four days after treatment. Results last up to three months but vary by patient.
